How much do four new tires cost, out the door?

The total for a full set of four depends on tire size and brand tier — economy, mid-range, or premium — plus mounting, balancing, new valve stems, and disposal of the old tires, all folded into one number. Cleveland Tire Shop quotes that number after confirming the vehicle's exact tire size — it isn't the same for every car.

What actually moves the number up or down?

Tire size is the biggest swing: a compact sedan's tires cost less than the larger, heavier-duty tires a pickup or SUV needs. Brand tier moves it further — a budget tire and a premium touring or all-terrain tire in the exact same size can land far apart.

Specialty construction adds on top of that. Run-flat tires, higher speed ratings, and larger wheel diameters all push the base price up before anything else is added.

What's actually included in 'out the door'?

Mounting, balancing, new valve stems, and disposal of the old tires are bundled into the one number quoted — not itemized as surprises at pickup.

An alignment check isn't part of that number by default. If the old tires wore unevenly, that's a separate conversation worth having before the new set goes on, not after.

Does buying fewer than four change the math?

Two tires obviously cost less than four, but per-tire pricing on a partial set doesn't always scale down evenly — mounting and balancing are charged per tire either way. Whether two is even the right call depends on the vehicle's drivetrain, which is a separate question from price.

Do all four tires have to be the same brand?

Not strictly, but matched brand and tread pattern across an axle — ideally all four — gives the most even wear and predictable handling. Mixing brands on a budget is a tradeoff, not a rule violation.

Is the mount-and-balance fee separate from the tire price?

No — it's folded into the single out-the-door number quoted for the set, so there's no separate line item added at checkout.

Can I get a quote before coming in?

Call with the vehicle's year, make, and model, or the tire size printed on the current sidewall, and ask for a price before you arrive.
